"Housing impacts the entire community" - One of the final thoughts from Claire de Souza, who I was fortunate enough to chat with recently regarding her role as the Town's Housing Development Coordinator. Affordable housing is an issue that impacts communities across Canada, and Collingwood is no different. While low income housing is developed in collaboration with Simcoe County, Claire's main driver is trying to find solutions that help middle income earners find an affordable home and put down roots in Collingwood. Listen in to hear what the Town is doing to tackle this issue and the creative approaches needed to make positive change in this space.
